In 'What Might Be', Rand tries to convince Logain to teach him how to use the One Power. Nynaeve takes her Accepted test but encounters some troubles. In 'Daughter of the Night', Moiraine arrives in Cairhien in an attempt to find Rand. Nynaeve, Egwene, and Elayne attempt to sneak out of the Tower, but encounter someone they didn't expect to see. Rand finds a secluded cabin with Selene and they have an intimate moment.
